Taste Analysis

Appearance: This wine has a light golden hue in the glass. As it is typical to Chardonnay wines, it has fresh and light oak characteristics.

Nose: On the nose it is very clean, bright and light. It has sweet tones of fruits, such as pear, peach, melon and even pineapple. There is a light hint of nuts and a soft oak in the background. Overall, it has an approachable and fruit-forward scent.

Palate: Taste profile is soft and fruity with gentle creaminess. It also has a touch of oak, which gives a subtle complexity. Similar to the smell profile, the taste profile also has notes of fruits, nuts and very light oak. It is easy and smooth on the palate.

Structure: Acidity level is balanced. It is fresh but not too sharp. Sweetness is low compared to similar Chardonnay wines. It has a light-medium body. The texture has a rounded and soft mouthfeel.

Finish: Clean and balanced finish with mild citrus notes. No notable bitterness. Does not last long but it is very pleasant and refreshing.

Overall Impression: An easy-drinking and fruit-forward Chardonnay. This wine is not meant to be a complex drink. Dare I say, it is a “simple” wine but refreshing nevertheless. It is designed to be accessible and crowd-pleasing. It is ideal for a weekday or light lunch. It has a very accessible price point. The value vs. price ratio is high.

Pairing

This wine would pair well with creamy dishes or snacks, such as mild cheese, salmon or rich nuts. It would also pair well with creamy pasta. On this occasion I decided to pair it with cashew nuts as I thought it would resonate with its light-oak profile in the background.
