Introduction
16-Apr-2026 – I recently visited La Cantina Di Romeo in Verona, and it was a pleasant and relaxed dining experience. The restaurant has a typical Italian osteria-style interior design.
The decoration feels simple, warm, and traditional, which creates a comfortable atmosphere. It is the kind of place where you can sit down, relax, and enjoy a good meal without anything feeling too formal.

Appetizers
We started our meal with two appetizers. The first was Eggplant Parmigiana, which was rich, flavorful, and nicely prepared. The layers of eggplant, tomato sauce, and cheese worked very well together. We also had a fresh Caprese salad, made with tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil. It tasted light and refreshing. Both starters cost EUR 12 each, which felt reasonable for the quality.
Main Courses
For the main courses, we ordered several different pasta dishes so we could try a variety of flavors.
First, we had Bigoli Anatra, which is bigoli pasta served with duck ragù. This dish cost EUR 13. The sauce was rich and savory, and it paired very well with the thick bigoli pasta. It was a very satisfying and traditional dish.
We also tried the Carbonara, which cost EUR 12.50. It was creamy and flavorful, with a good balance of cheese, egg, and pancetta. It was a classic dish done well.
Another dish we ordered was Spago Cozze, a seafood pasta with mussels, priced at EUR 13.50. The pasta had a nice seafood flavor and tasted fresh and light compared to the other dishes.
Finally, we had Ravioli del Giorno, which means the ravioli of the day. This dish cost EUR 14. The ravioli were well prepared, with delicate pasta and a tasty filling.
Conclusion
Overall, the food was enjoyable and the prices were quite reasonable for a restaurant in Verona. The traditional atmosphere, simple presentation, and comforting Italian dishes made the meal very pleasant.
If you are visiting Verona and want a casual restaurant with classic Italian food and fair prices, La Cantina Di Romeo is a nice place to consider.
